The Garden Within the City
The Garden Within the City is a half day wellness experience hosted by Bcollective in the heart of Roscoe Village in collaboration with Lakeview Special Service Area 27 . Designed to support mental wellbeing through floral therapy, creative expression, and professional care, this event invites you to slow down, breathe, and reconnect.
Start your day with a gentle community slow flow, then explore interactive healing stations at your own pace — from youth sensory spaces to flower-pressing, journaling, and therapist-guided support.
Whether you’re navigating stress, seeking calm, or simply craving connection, this event is for you and your family.
What You’ll Experience
Community Slow Flow at two different times ( AM and PM)
A grounding, all-levels movement session to start the day in unity and breath.
Hands-On Wellness Stations (Move at your own pace)
Earth & Elements Station (for youth): A sensory experience with sand, soil, rocks, and water to support emotional regulation and presence.
Collage & Journaling Station: Reflect using guided prompts, pressed flowers, and visual collage in your own notebook.
Floral Presence Station: Engage with the scent, texture, and beauty of flowers while learning about their therapeutic benefits.
Breathing Spaces: Staffed by professional therapists, these calm touchpoints offer support, conversations, and deeper guidance throughout the day.
Location: SSA 27 Low Line Paulina Station - Roscoe Village
The location is just steps from the Paulina Brown Line — easily accessible and surrounded by the creative, tree-lined charm of Roscoe Village where the SSA 27 Lakeview Chamber has built an outdoor communal space. The outdoor environment mirrors our mission: to help people reconnect with nature and community in a supportive, beautiful Roscoe Village setting.
